CMA’s Temp of the Year 2022
Temping is a wonderfully rewarding field to work in – whether providing interim finance or temporary HR support. Over the past few years we have seen an unprecedented demand for a temporary workforce here in the Surrey area and South Coast in the wake of the pandemic and current challenging business climate. These workers have shown themselves to be resilient, flexible, and with a great attitude in the face of an unusual situation.
CMA Temp of the Year 2022 celebrates these contractors on the CMA register for the work done in the past 12 months. This year we received a number of nominations from across CMA’s five offices; the successful nominees were those interim workers who have gone beyond the call of duty to provide an exceptional interim service that has truly added value to their team, company and role.
In order to represent our temps in both the Accountancy & Finance, and HR divisions, this year for the first time we decided to choose one winner from each division. After conducting interviews with all of the nominees’ line managers, we narrowed it down. We are delighted to be able to reveal the winners below…
CMA Temp of the Year – HR Winner 2022 – Karen Gillard
Karen has been a temp on our register working for Havant Borough Council. She has worked closely with Senior Consultant Denise Papadatos, who says: “Karen is an amazing interim who has been an absolute asset to CMA”
The client was delighted with Karen’s work ethic and how quicly she settled in to her role: “Karen settled into the interim role very quickly, taking on additional duties without hesitation, embracing the cultural values of the business.
“Since joining, Karen has identified an area of change to process, that has been successfully implemented to the benefit of all moving forward.”
When we called Karen to let her know that she was our HR winner for Temp of the Year 2022, she was absolutely thrilled: “I’ve never won anything before so this was a lovely surprise.
“It was lovely to receive positive feedback and recognition for all my hard work. It made me feel proud and valued and it boosted my confidence knowing that I was doing a good job. It also encouraged me to work even harder to keep up the good work.”
CMA Temp of the Year – Accountancy & Finance Winner 2022 Philippa Gallacher
Philippa has been working through CMA for Genesis Care in an interim finance role, but has been registered with us for some time. Philippa has been working closely with Senior Consultant Richard Cooling.
He says: “Philippa is an excellent candidate who has been a pleasure to deal with. It’s been amazing to see the dedication she has shown and the additional support she has provided the team during a busy time for the business”
Philippa slipped quickly into her role and shown a dedication and commitment in her time there. Her line manager says: “Philippa is an asset to the team and the award is well deserved. Philippa has embraced the Genesis Care values by putting the patient first.”
Philippa says: “CMA is a great company to temp for, I have worked for several temp agencies, who once they have placed you seem to forget about you… CMA always keep in touch even if it’s to send you on an assignment that’s miles from where you live! Joking apart, a great agency with staff that care and look after you and make you feel valued, they are certainly a cut above the rest. Thank you.”
