Since being founded in 1998, Checkatrade has been helping to combat rogue traders across the UK. They only allow recommended, fully vetted and monitored tradespeople to join their crusade and offer their trade to the public. They pride themselves on reputation, raising standards and ensuring all jobs are completed to the highest quality. The company continues to go from strength to strength and employs over 500 staff.
Having previously had a manual invoicing system, the decision was made to implement a new billings engine to enable the business to streamline processes and provide a more efficient service to their 36,000 members. Checkatrade approached CMA as they needed a trusted recruitment partner capable of fully understanding their business needs and able to identify a high number of quality temporary employees within a condensed timeframe.
Search Parameters
Finding the right calibre of temporary workers was imperative. A key requirement was identifying individuals who had a good working knowledge of transactional finance, along with strong IT skills and the ability to use a variety of databases. In addition to hands on experience, cultural fit was extremely important, as was reliability, flexibility and the ability to self-manage and organise workloads.

Checkatrade were then able to select candidates from reviewing their CVs alone, and trusted CMA's market knowledge and experience to such a degree that candidates were employed without first being interviewed by Checkatrade. In doing so CMA helped take recruitment pressures away from hiring managers and provided a considerable timesaving.
The temporary workforce was integral to the success of the systems implementation and supported the ongoing growth of the Checkatrade business.
